Para empezar, la crisis econ\u00f3mica, financiera y de valores que estamos atravesando nos lleva a replantearnos los actuales modelos de gesti\u00f3n. <strong>Hemos entrado de lleno en un mundo no s\u00f3lo globalizado, sino tambi\u00e9n interconectado y competitivo en todos los \u00e1mbitos<\/strong>, donde ciclos suaves y predecibles son sustituidos por turbulencias y hasta \u2018tsunamis\u2019. El mundo est\u00e1 dejando de ser dual; ya no est\u00e1 formado por un mundo f\u00edsico y otro virtual, separados. Muy al contrario, ambos se solapan, viven en mutua conexi\u00f3n y se influyen rec\u00edprocamente.<\/p>\n<p>Es por lo que se cuestiona el \u2018management\u2019 tradicional, basado en funciones, productos, verticalizaci\u00f3n, especializaci\u00f3n y jerarqu\u00eda. Al final, como recientemente nos dec\u00eda un alto directivo, \u00abse sigue trabajando m\u00e1s para el jefe que para el cliente, sin querer ver lo que se est\u00e1 moviendo fuera. Realmente, la investigaci\u00f3n, el desarrollo y la innovaci\u00f3n se hallan en la calle\u00bb. Ten\u00eda raz\u00f3n. Casi hay que pensar que, tecnol\u00f3gicamente, todo es posible. Se trata de <strong>identificar qu\u00e9 productos o servicios son los que pueden interesar al ciudadano<\/strong>, por los que est\u00e1 dispuesto a pagar.<\/p>\n<p>Fen\u00f3menos emergentes en crecimiento, como la externalizaci\u00f3n de procesos, la virtualizaci\u00f3n del \u2018hardware\u2019, la computaci\u00f3n en nube (\u2018cloud computing\u2019) y el desarrollo espectacular de otras nuevas tecnolog\u00edas, obligar\u00e1n cada vez m\u00e1s a las empresas a funcionar de forma distinta: en red, con masas de informaci\u00f3n disponible, compartida, y frecuente cooperaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El fen\u00f3meno subyacente m\u00e1s profundo es la creciente hibridaci\u00f3n entre el mundo f\u00edsico y el virtual. <strong>Lo virtual aparece e impregna cada vez m\u00e1s nuestro mundo f\u00edsico<\/strong>. En \u00e9ste, gran parte de lo que se considera \u00abreal\u00bb, ya es virtual. Aparece, pues, un nuevo espacio y campo de libre competencia, con m\u00e1s innovaci\u00f3n, m\u00e1s transacciones, nuevas actividades, mayor valor del cliente como comprador y prescriptor, y muchas cosas m\u00e1s por ver.<\/p>\n<p>Nunca acertamos a valorar adecuadamente los primeros indicios y datos de un fen\u00f3meno que est\u00e1 apareciendo y creciendo. Siempre pensamos que este crecimiento va a ser lineal, y la realidad muestra que casi siempre es geom\u00e9trico. <strong>El CEO y los equipos de direcci\u00f3n tienen que anticiparse y estar abiertos a entrar en negocios donde lo virtual y lo f\u00edsico convergen<\/strong> y se integran, generando nuevas oportunidades, servicios y mercados.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfTenemos suficiente conocimiento y experiencia del mundo virtual? \u00bfTenemos suficiente sensibilidad, \u00abantropolog\u00eda de mercado\u00bb y olfato de lo que est\u00e1 ocurriendo? \u00bfEst\u00e1n nuestras antenas puestas y abiertas?<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed surge la primera pregunta y reto para el CEO: <strong>\u00bfha puesto usted un \u2018hacker\u2019 en su mesa? Si todav\u00eda no lo ha hecho, p\u00f3ngalo.<\/strong> Denomino \u2018hacker\u2019 no a un mero t\u00e9cnico o especialista, sino a un profesional con visi\u00f3n y amplio conocimiento del mundo virtual, que ayuda a entender y aprovechar el impacto e interconexi\u00f3n que este mundo virtual tiene en nuestro trabajo, en las organizaciones y en nuestra
