Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los fr\u00edos datos estad\u00edsticos, \u00bfcu\u00e1les son las condiciones de vida y de ciudadan\u00eda de este grupo social en relaci\u00f3n, por ejemplo, con el empleo?\u00a0 La verdad es que despu\u00e9s de m\u00e1s de treinta y cinco a\u00f1os de vida democr\u00e1tica, la situaci\u00f3n no es demasiado halag\u00fce\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Para las personas con discapacidad, la importancia del acceso al mercado de trabajo se multiplica en relaci\u00f3n con el resto de la poblaci\u00f3n, pues empleo es una v\u00eda ineludible de participaci\u00f3n e inclusi\u00f3n comunitarias. Sin una\u00a0 ocupaci\u00f3n es casi imposible llevar una vida aut\u00f3noma, independiente y decidir por uno mismo. <strong>Sin trabajo, la exclusi\u00f3n social se hace sistem\u00e1tica y estructural.<\/strong> El empleo es un bien escaso y precioso para la discapacidad; en tiempos de expansi\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica, y tambi\u00e9n en tiempos de aguda crisis como estos. <strong>Los datos son elocuentes; tres de cada cuatro personas con discapacidad entre los 16 y 65 a\u00f1os est\u00e1n inactivas o en el paro.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14585 aligncenter\" title=\"Discapacidad\" src=\"https:\/\/empresas.infoempleo.com\/hrtrends\/media\/2012\/01\/Discapacidad.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"454\" height=\"214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/empresas.infoempleo.com\/hrtrends\/media\/2012\/01\/Discapacidad.jpg 568w, https:\/\/empresas.infoempleo.com\/hrtrends\/media\/2012\/01\/Discapacidad-300x142.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 454px) 100vw, 454px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s que el desempleo \u2013con ser importante este problema, ya que es muy\u00a0 superior al general\u2013 el gran obst\u00e1culo de estas personas es la inactividad, la no participaci\u00f3n en el empleo a pesar de estar en edad laboral. Despu\u00e9s de m\u00e1s de tres d\u00e9cadas de legislaci\u00f3n y pol\u00edticas de empleo para personas con discapacidad, la cuesti\u00f3n de su inserci\u00f3n laboral sigue pendiente. Es el momento de proponerse objetivos a la altura del problema. Nada es hoy en nuestra sociedad como era hace treinta a\u00f1os. <strong>No nos sirve ya el modelo de integraci\u00f3n laboral vigente en Espa\u00f1a para personas con discapacidad.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Una ambici\u00f3n colectiva ha de impulsarnos \u2013al Gobierno, al Parlamento, a los agentes sociales, a la sociedad civil\u2013 a configurar, con car\u00e1cter inmediato, un nuevo modelo legal de inclusi\u00f3n de la discapacidad que promueva realmente la activaci\u00f3n de estas personas.<\/p>\n<p>Las personas con discapacidad aportan a la sociedad y a la vida en comunidad. Su inclusi\u00f3n genera espirales de cambio social positivo en todos los \u00e1mbitos y espacios a los que consiguen acceder. La discapacidad es un elemento de diversidad humana que agrega valor all\u00ed donde encuentra un \u00e1mbito propicio a la apertura. Liberemos ese potencial.
